Our wine list is quite extensive; year after year we are working with passion, bringing wine tastings up to date, and adding the best wines as well as those required by our clients.

The wine list of Restaurant Mas Romeu offers 150 references with explanatory tasting notes and a map of the wine region.

We always try to promote wines of our region, which are sometimes not very well known.

The wine list of Restaurant Mas Romeu has been awarded three times with the third prize for the best wine list of Catalonia in the CARTAVi competition.

Finca la Colina Verdejo

Finca la Colina Verdejo

Guarantee of origin: RUEDA
Variety: 100% Verdejo
Alcohol content: 13%. Bordeaux bottle
Characteristics: This wine is a single varietal of a yellow colour with clean, bright and greenish highlights. An intense, complex and elegant nose, where balsamic and herbaceous aromatic nuances mingle with intense fruity notes. On the palate, it offers a wide spread of flavours, revealing complexity, length and persistence.

Jean León Chardonnay

White Wines

Jean León Chardonnay

Guarantee of origin: Penedés
Variety: 100% Chardonnay. 5 months in oak barrels.
Alcohol content: 14%. Burgundy bottle. Straw colour with green nuances.
Characteristics: Elegant on the nose, good intensity. With exotic fruit aromas, creamy floral notes, sweet pumpkin, coconut, fennel and prominent aromas from its oak ageing. On the palate it presents an aromatic, tasty attack, round and pleasant with toasty notes from its oak ageing (burnt sugar, tropical fruit and spices) with a dry and warm aftertaste.

Gran Caus Rosat

Guarantee of origin: Penedés
Variety: 100% Merlot
Alcohol content: 13%. Bordeaux bottle.
Characteristics: bright cherry colour, produced with superior merlot grape must. Strong candied fruit aroma with raspberry notes. Tasty and oily on the palate, with great length and complexity. It is a rosé which is a pleasure to drink, even for those who do not enjoy rosés.

Espelt Coralí

Espelt Coralí

Guarantee of origin: EMPORDA
Variety: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 20% Lledoner Negre (black Grenache)
Alcohol content: 13%. Bordeaux bottle.
Characteristics: Deep pink colour reminiscent of coral. Intense bouquet of red ripe fruit and gently lactic with light spicy notes on the nose. On the palate it is silky, soft and very intense.

Mas Oller – Mar Blanc

Mas Oller – Mar Blanc

Guarantee of origin: EMPORDA
Variety: Piquepoul and Malvasia
Alcohol content: 13.5 %. Burgundy bottle
Characteristics: Pleasing to the eye, bright yellow colour, slightly filtered wine in order to maintain the maximum of its characteristics, can give rise to slight precipitation. It is spectacularly aromatic, with touches of tropical fruits like banana, pineapple and so on. The wine tastes slightly fruity and is very pleasant, citric and dry.

Ermita d´Espiells

Ermita d´Espiells

Guarantee of origin: D.O. Penedés
Variety: 40% Parellada, 40% Macabeo, 20% Xarel.lo.
Alcohol content: 13%. Special bottle.
Characteristics: Bright yellow straw colour. Fresh and fruity aromas, characteristic for wine aged in bottles. Fine and elegant on the palate with a completely balanced complex, round and fine aftertaste.

Brunus Rosat

Brunus Rosat

Guarantee of origin: MONTSANT
Variety: 100% Grenache
Alcohol content: 12,5%. Bordeaux bottle. 6 months in oak barrels.
Characteristics: Attractive pale red colour with bright and clear blue tints. Fresh bewitching aroma suggesting wild strawberries, raspberries and other red fruit, with touches of tropical fruit and nuances of white fruit aromas. On the palate it offers a fresh entry, silky and embracing, lively with a long aftertaste.

Bru de Verdu

Red Wines

Bru de Berdu

Guarantee of origin: COSTERS DEL SEGRE
Variety: 38% Sirah, 33% Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) and 29% Merlot.
Alcohol content: 14% Bordeaux bottle, 6 months in oak barrels.
Characteristics: Ripe cherry colour with slow dripping wine legs. Aromas of ripe black fruit, vegetal and balsamic nuances with notes derived from ageing in small wineskins. Pronounced entrance in mouth, refreshing and lively with mineral earthy touches of oil and moist soil on the palate.
